Hi, i’m Julia
Born and raised in Boise, ID, my passion and interest in birth began with conversations around the dinner table. My mom, a labor and delivery nurse at Saint Lukes for over 30 years, would come home and share the stories of her work day. I began my studies to become a doula while living in San Francisco, first receiving my birth doula certification in 2018. After working in the field, I realized the monumental gap in healthcare and support for new moms and families, and decided to pursue my Postpartum Doula Certification to help bridge the gap in healthcare between the hospital and home. After welcoming my own baby in 2024, I finished my degree as a Certified Lactation Consultant to further help families during this tender time. It has been a great honor to walk alongside families as they welcome new life. When I am not working with moms and families, I can be found in my ceramics studio, working on art and teaching ceramics.
